Our profile in this edition of your periodical is on the late Eze Seth Nwanagu of Akabo, a worthy son of Ikeduru who from humble beginnings as the son of a painter with the public works department, advanced to the best colleges in Nigeria and the world. A man of excellence who typified integrity and excellence in whatever he did especially in his chosen profession of electrical and mechanical engineering. He is one that Ndi Ikeduru can proudly say was one of their own and who represents the cherished ideals of Ndi Ikeduru of hardwork, integrity, and pride in one self and homeland.
On the fourth of May, 2013, the remains of my secondary school mentor Nze Nwawunze John Igbokwe who died in Boston, USA, was laid to rest in Amaimo in what was a befitting send off for a worthy son. His love for Ikeduru and Ikeduru people wherever he found himself knew no bounds. He showed this in his relationships and contributions to the people and the land though he held no political office or inclinations that he aspired for any. Knowing him from a tender age, I knew that all he did was only for 'The Love of Ikeduru'. Adieu De Nwawunze.
